Art Workshops

Beginning in the spring of 2023, artists have been able to visit the lighthouse and spend time creating works within their respective medium. Upcoming dates are available below! We cannot wait to see, hear, or feel what you can create out here. The possibilities seem endless!  Some of the ideas we have heard so far:

360° multi-artist mosaic paintings

Music recorded using unique acoustics of the interior of the lighthouse

Amateur photography contests

And more!

Safety First

We are very excited to get started with these workshops, however the lighthouse offers several logistical complications that must be considered and therefore we intend to take it slow. The lighthouse is fully exposed to weather, wind, and waves which translates to the possibility of trips being delayed or rescheduled. Upon arrival, you will note that access is up a steep staircase and once inside, you will find no electricity or plumbing. All visitors, including artists, must sign a liability release waiver and be physically capable of safely getting themselves and their equipment on and off a boat and up and down stairs and ladders. All trips to the lighthouse are at the discretion of the director and will be fully briefed beforehand for safety.
