The Light

First opened in 1906, Peck Ledge light is a historic spark-plug style lighthouse located approximately 1 mile off the Connecticut shore at the border of Norwalk and Westport. For decades, the light was home to various lighthouse keepers that maintained the aid to navigation for local mariners before being automated in 1933. Once you step inside, you immediately feel taken back over a century of time and begin to wonder what these walls have seen. Deemed excess by the US Coast Guard, the light was purchased at auction in 2015 by the Lighthouse Preservation Group, LLC and a multi-year restoration work was completed in 2021.

Art Space

Art at Peck Ledge Lighthouse is created and curated through a partnership with The Norwalk Art Space. Our goal is to provide a unique, communal space for all kinds of artists - beginners to professionals - to come together and express their creative sides. We believe the lighthouse can inspire the creative within each and every one of us, and intend to offer opportunities to a wide range of artists. Whether you're a visual or audial artist, painter, photographer, musician or mixed media, Peck Ledge Lighthouse is here to share.

Our Vision

We aim to provide a safe and exciting opportunity for every artist that visits the lighthouse. While there are certain logistical and environmental restrictions to providing access, once on site we want your imagination to run wild. Workshops and events will be small to start, and we will continually look to improve and take in artist feedback. If you’re looking for a place that challenges your artistic journey, look no further: we’re here and we can’t wait to see what you can create.

Stay Tuned

We’re currently working to provide workshops fitting all skill levels and mediums. Stay tuned for updates on future opportunities.
